MADE are currently seeking a Programme Manager and a Fundraising and Marketing Manager to start in May (or earlier if available). Read on to find out more about the roles and how you can apply. 

PROGRAMME MANAGER x 1

Salary: £26-29,000 pro rata including London weighting 

Closing date: 2 April 2017

Location: East London (Tower Hamlets)

Contract: 12 months fixed-term

Hours: Part-time (with a view to extend to full-time depending on deliverables)

Responsible to: CEO

Responsible for:

  • Environment Manager
  • Programmes Interns

Start date: May 2017 (or earlier if available)

Purpose of the Post:

Play a vital role in inspiring and enabling young Muslims to take part in innovative social action projects.

MADE inspires and enables young British Muslims to serve society and the environment through social action (volunteering, fundraising and campaigning), strengthening both their character and local communities in the process. It is an innovative organisation, known for helping young Muslims to make a difference.

MADE achieves this by: training young people in the importance of active citizenship and how to root this learning in their faith; and providing them with opportunities to participate in social action in partnership with others, both within and outside of the Muslim community. This is an exciting time in the development of MADE's strategy as MADE has ambitious plans to grow its social action work.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Programmes Manager will deliver MADE’s existing training programme, oversee the environment programme, and develop new programmes to inspire and enable young Muslims to participate in social action projects.

We are looking for a creative individual with strong project management and training skills.

Main aspects of the role are:

  • Training - delivering 'changemaker' campaigns training to Islamic Societies, trainee scholars, and wider society
  • Programme development - visioning, planning and developing MADE's new social action programmes.
  • Oversee environment programme, which includes: educating and raising awareness amongst Muslim schools of climate change; building UK Muslim communities in civil society efforts around the environment; and supporting the wider climate change movement and working with the Muslim Climate Action group to deliver coalition activities

FUNDRAISING AND MARKETING MANAGER x 1

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Fundraising and Marketing Manager will lead MADE’s community fundraising, including Ultimate Water Challenge and Tour de Salah. The role holder will be responsible for all communications to donors, supporters and stakeholders both physical and digital. They will be responsible for events, marketing and PR and will coordinate a supportive team of volunteers to enable this.

We are looking for an outgoing individual with strong community fundraising experience and social media skills.

Main aspects of the role are:

  • Fundraising – planning and coordinating fundraising campaigns and activities
  • Marketing and communications – managing marketing material portfolio and website, managing social media accounts
