Tour De Salah
A project of MADE, Tour De Salah is a physical and spiritual challenge like no other! It’s the biggest organised bike ride of its kind in the UK with cyclists choosing from four routes covering 15km, 30km, 60km or 100km. Participants stop at iconic mosques across London and enjoy some of the most scenic views of the capital along the way. All routes have checkpoints to help monitor the progress of each ride.
This year TDS is running the Faith Ride inviting people of other faiths to participate in the event. The rides will still stop at different Mosques, and there may also be stops at other faith centres en route the long rides. This will present an opportunity to demonstrate hospitality and peaceful interaction between people of different faith groups.
This year we are also proud to offer;
- Heavily subsidised fees of £10, for all individuals living, working or studying in Haringey, Waltham Forest, Harrow or Hounslow.
- Hire bike, free of charge for those who don’t own a bike, Mobikes only (https://mobike.com/uk).
- Smaller local rides suitable for families with small children.
- Practice rides through-out the year.
In the last 5 years, over 200 cyclists have taken part in Tour De Salah raising Thousands of pounds for UK based charities. The 2018 Tour De Salah takes place on Saturday 29th September.
