As part of our ‘Green up!’ Award scheme, MADE worked with schools, Madrassahs and youth groups across the UK to educate young Muslims about the environment, linking this to practical action. MADE connects Islamic principles with current environmental issues through assemblies, practical workshops and teacher training. MADE encourages and supports institutions to make positive changes and be more aware of their Islamic responsibility towards the environment.
IMPACT SO FAR
Almost 10,000 pupils have taken part in our assemblies and workshops to date. 98% of young people we worked with learnt something new from the resources and sessions they were given on various topics. Additionally, over 80% of young people felt inspired by what they had learnt to make a personal change in their life.
